My educational background is quite diverse and has significantly shaped my professional journey.
I began my academic path by earning my Bachelor's degree in Turkey, where I developed a strong foundation in my field of study. Following this, I had the opportunity to broaden my horizons and deepen my understanding by pursuing a Master's degree in the USA. This experience enriched my perspective and exposed me to various educational philosophies.
After relocating to London, I took my passion for teaching to the next level by pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in secondary mathematics. This program not only honed my pedagogical skills but also provided me with valuable insights into the UK education system and effective teaching methodologies.
Most recently, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at University College London (UCL). This advanced training has equipped me with the tools to understand and support students' mental health and well-being, recognizing the crucial connection between emotional health and academic success.
This breadth of experience has endowed me with a diverse range of skills and knowledge that I am eager to apply in any professional setting. I am committed to fostering a positive learning environment where students can thrive academically and personally, and I look forward to leveraging my background to make a meaningful impact.
My Story
As a fully qualified mathematics teacher based in London with over a decade of experience both in the classroom and as a private tutor, I have had the privilege of guiding numerous students on their educational journeys. I have helped many of them reach their full academic potential and gain admission to Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge. I believe that every student is unique, and I tailor my teaching approach to meet their individual needs and goals, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their learning.
Now, I am excited to channel that wealth of experience into my own venture, BKYeducation. Through this consultancy, I offer personalized education services for students who aspire to achieve excellent grades on their exams in the UK, as well as those looking to come to the UK for sixth form, university education, or specialized English language courses, including IELTS preparation.
